Meet Ringo! Ringo is a six-year-old, male, pit bull who is currently with our friends at the Hempstead Town Animal Shelter in Wantagh, New York. According to his rescuers, they actually met Ringo back in 2015 when he was brought in as a stray. The big ham didn’t stay at the shelter for long, but ultimately he was returned to the shelter when his adopters moved away, and he’s been stuck there ever since.
They say that one of the first things you’ll notice about Ringo is his overbite. It doesn’t cause him any issues, but it is kind of adorable. The second thing you’ll notice about Ringo is his sweet disposition. Sure, some people may have misconceptions about a dog of his breed and size, but there’s not been one person yet that he hasn’t able to win over.
Ringo is a really great dog, and we feel like he would make an excellent addition to just about any family. He’s good with other dogs, and is also good with kids. No mention was made about how he deals with being around cats or other small animals. Both the staff at the shelter and we here at LWD would really love to see Ringo finally get a family that isn’t going to return him to the shelter at some point. Could that be you?
